Job Description

The role of the Install Manager is to train, support, and mentor Astrawatt Solar Lead Installers to ensure successful start up of new locations. Ongoing support is also required to help navigate lead installers through unique or difficult projects/situations that may arise, and stay on top of the ever changing landscape of the solar industry.

Main Responsibilities

Train, develop, and mentor Install Leads.
Develop, implement, and govern the installation process, tools, templates, and procedures to improve efficiency, safety, and customer experience.
Make sure all installers have completed required training (OSHA, Safety, Enphase, Ironridge, Sol Ark, Tesla). Coordinate training on any new equipment.
Provide support and mentoring to any installers that wish to pursue additional licensing opportunities (Journeyman, Master Electrician)
Provide ongoing training and support for all installers.
Ensure compliance with Astrawatt policies and processes.
Maintain positive relationships with Astrawatt Vendors, AHJs, and utility departments.
Support a network for Astrawatt Solar installers to share ideas, support, and best practices.
Set performance goals and timelines for lead installer position, and conduct initial performance reviews (90/1 yr/annual)
Plan and lead safety training meetings with Astrawatt install teams.
Continuously strive to improve Installation processes. This includes updates to our CRM, customer communication, and project execution.
Manage Astrawatt assets including tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
Purchase approval of installation tools, equipment and materials (Home Depot, Misc Electrical)
Work with Lead Installer and PSS to ensure teams are performing installations according to or Code of Conduct.
Hire/Fire/Disciplinary actions when needed for installation crews.
Complete new employee onboarding for installers
Supervise Service Manager
Ensure RMA reimbursements are getting sent to vendors
Help PSS Coordinate any repair work needed
Support Lead Installers to job completion. On call site support to troubleshoot any installation issues or answer any questions that may arise.
Ensure jobs are being completed on time and budget
Travel may be required.
Facilitate training for franchise and company owned stores.
Support/Assit Project Coordinators and PSS with plan design.
