Main Responsibilities

Assisting peers and superiors with layout and installation of solar arrays and equipment from plans
Maintain a clean and secure job site at all times which includes activities such as grounds keeping, debris removal, hauling and hoisting materials when needed, panel washing
Correctly wiring the DC portions of the solar system
Communicate with team on project milestones
Work under install manager and crew leader to assist the team and ensure jobs are completed with the highest quality standards in a timely manor

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of roof work, general construction, or carpentry required
Minimum 1 year of experience as a solar installer or equivalent strongly preferred

Ideal Attributes

Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
Must have a reliable source of transportation and a valid drivers license
Must be willing to learn and follow directions from others
Demonstrated ability to work independently and work well with others in a collaborative team environment
Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet for long periods of time
Must be comfortable with working in heights
Position oneself in a stoop, crouch, crawl and kneeling positions
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in outdoor conditions; including humid, hot and cold weather
Knowledge of and experience with hand and power tools
Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures
Ability to work within tight deadlines
Ability to multi task
Strong customer service skills required
Strong desire and ability to learn and grow in the profession
